Santa and Mrs. Claus see Kyle and Blake Christmas 2005The Reelfs family had a nice Christmas at home in lovely Simi Valley. We helped Julie's Mom prepare for their move to Denver in January, and went to cookie exchanges, did lots of shopping, and enjoyed family time.

Kyle had his first Christmas where he baked cookies for his Kindergarten teachers and the morning playground assistants. He had the best time with the gingerbread men. Unfortunately Dad had to make some weird gingerbread zombies and odd Burton-esque cookies that they later had to eat. He also lost his first tooth between Christmas and New Years Eve. He got money from the tooth fairy which we took to Dr. Conkey's and he bought gummy worms and berries and fish.

Blake went to baby gymnastics and Mommy and Me classes where he made Christmas ornaments and had lots of fun getting all of his energies out. He asked Santa for Star Wars toys, but he would not look Santa in the eye in the photo. He just sort of looked at the floor instead.

I got my favorite toy for Christmas from Julie and the boys, my Play Station Personal. I now have something new to obsess over and some games and movies to go with it. (I have since purchased what I wanted at the after Christmas sales).

Julie got an iPod nano that was a gift from Lockheed to me, but I gave to her as she would not let me buy her one, so this was a nice loophole for giving that gift.

Santa was in Burbank at the Pape house, and we went there to see him in person with the boys. We have it on good authority that Santa might have been related to us, but the boys certainly could not tell.

We hope the miracle of Christ's birth and the wonderful joy of  the season were in your home. We certainly felt their effect and reaped in that joy.
